I am very fond of Baguio, and I was privileged to have an official tour of Camp John Hay soon after the U.S. handed the facility to the Philippines in the early 90’s. After this I was visiting Baguio up to 3 times a week buying fruit & vegetables (and coffee) in Baguio market.
Always included in the visit was a visit to the Swagman’s Attic Inn, an expat haven for the golfing set, before it moved to it's "Red Lion" incarnation. There is also a local branch of the VFW, and the Baguio Beer Drinkers Association.
Once the Summer Capital under the Americans, the city enjoys a cool climate, with several excellent golf courses.
