Bauang & San Fernando Beach

The main beach resort area is Bauang,  a few kilometers south of San Fernando - La Union.  The resorts, which date back to the American R & R era - when Wallace was a major U.S. Military site, are of international standard, offering  a variety of facilities, and at affordable rates.


The resort area starts about 3 kms north of Bauang town proper, where you will find –


Long Beach Resort, Villa Estrella Beach Resort, and The Tropical Garden Resort - just behind Mark & Theresa Apartments lies this hidden gem - nicely appointed and set back well from the National Highway - well worth a visit to relax. Next along the highway are Angeles Sports Bar. China Sea Beach Resort and Coconut Grove Beach Resort which features lawn bowling.


Shooters Sports & Grill have opened in the old VFW/Finnigan’s building, offering an outside bar, pool tables, TV Sport, and full menu.


VFW Post 9892 now meets second Tuesday of the month in Paradise to Ocean Deep on west side of the airport.  The bingo sessions are now  to be held at Bali Hai on Sundays.

Bali Hai Beach Resort, is one of thePhilippines favourite escapes, and offers excellent nightly buffets, and accommodation in a tropical garden setting-plus Bauang’s only beach side swimming pool. Shenanigan's Club is back on the other side of the highway is a popular expat’s watering hole which features attractive dancers, the latest rock videos, and the coldest draft on the beach.


The next beach is Canaoay.  Get off the bus at Airport Road - just after the PagdalaganBridge - for the short trike ride to Sunset Bay Beach Resort, in its own well established tropical gardens, this small secluded resort fronts onto a safe white sandy beach, which is for the most part deserted. The sea is crystal clear, ideal for snorkelling. It is a must to visit with an infinity swimming pool.


Further up Canaoay Beach you will find Ocean Deep the Dive Shop that trained many of the Philippines Dive Instructors!
