This small island, discovered by back packers in the 70’s, has developed, and how! due to it’s idilic white coral sands, into one of Asia’s most popular beach destinations.  Located 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island, the beaches have received numerous best beach awards from the travel industry.

Boracay comprises of the barangays of Manoc-manoc, Balabag and Yapak in the province of Aklan.

The main tourism area, White Beach, is on the western side of the island and is sheltered from the wind during the Amihan season, when the water off White Beach is often glassy-smooth.

The hills on the northern and southern ends of the island channel this wind onto Bulabog Beach which make the waters ideal for windsurfing and Kiteboarding.

Leisure activities also include scuba diving, snorkeling, cliff diving and of course relaxing on the beach sipping an ice cold drink. The island has a Graham Marsh designed 18-hole par 72 golf course.

Boracay has in excess of 350 beach resorts offering more than 2,000 rooms ranging from budget to five-star accommodation.

The Island offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, pubs, and nightclubs.
